Terms of Service
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TabOnly, the TabOnly URL shortener provided by Gabriel Sgroi (“provider”, “we”). They cover the website, the short links it creates, and the API.
By shortening a link, calling the API, or opening TabOnly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
2. Provider
The service is provided by:

3. The service
TabOnly turns an address you submit into a short link on TabOnly. No account is required. Signing in with Bookmer is optional and is described in the privacy policy. A short link stays until you delete it, unless you set a time in hours, days, weeks, or months, in which case it is removed after that time. Opening a short link sends the visitor to the address you stored. The same address returns the existing short link instead of a second code.
The list on your screen is stored in that browser. Delete removes the short link from the service, and the code stops redirecting. The page, the support pages, and the API reference describe the current functions. A description of one function is not a promise that every future version will keep it unchanged.
4. Permitted use
You may use TabOnly for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You may shorten only addresses you are allowed to link to, and you are responsible for the pages those short links open.
5. Prohibited use
You must not use TabOnly:
- for unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purposes
- to distribute malware or to phish for credentials or payment data
- to violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of third parties
- to bypass technical restrictions or security mechanisms of this service or of another service
- to overload, disrupt, or probe the service except through the documented API
- to impersonate another person or to misrepresent where a short link goes
- in any other way prohibited by applicable law
A short link that breaks these rules can be removed once the provider knows of the specific infringement.
6. The API
Shortening a link on the page has no monthly limit and no price. The API creates the same kind of short link. Its included monthly allowance and the price above that allowance are stated on the API page. Calling the API does not grant a right to a particular capacity beyond what the service provides at the time.
An organization screen is separate from the API. Its price per registered user, the yearly billing, and the minimum number of users are stated on the Organizations page.
7. Availability and changes
The provider does not guarantee that TabOnly, or any particular function, will be available at all times or indefinitely. The service can change or stop for technical, security, legal, or operational reasons. Updates can add, change, or remove functions.
Support questions can be sent through the support page.
8. Intellectual property
The site, the name TabOnly, and the provider’s text, design, and software remain with the provider or the relevant rights holders. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. You keep the rights to the addresses you submit. Shortening an address does not transfer those rights to the provider.
9. Privacy
How personal data is processed is described in the Privacy policy. Cookies and browser storage are described in Cookies. Provider details are in the Imprint.
10. Warranty
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a statutory warranty, consumer protection, or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those mandatory rights, the service is provided in its current state and availability. The provider does not guarantee that a short link will be reachable without interruption, or that the page it opens will stay online.
11. Liability
Liability follows applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not allow it. In particular, liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and liability under mandatory product-liability law remains unaffected.
For ordinary negligence, the provider is liable only for a breach of a material contractual duty, where the law allows that limit. A material duty is one that must be met for the agreement to be performed properly and that you may regularly rely on.
Where liability for ordinary negligence may be limited, it is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for this kind of agreement when it was made. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
12. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the addresses you shorten, for keeping a copy of any short link you still need, and for deleting a link you no longer want to publish. Clearing this browser removes only the list on the screen. It does not delete the short link.
13. Ending use
You can stop using TabOnly at any time. Deleting a short link ends that link. The provider can stop offering the service where the law allows it. Rights you already have under mandatory law are not removed by that.
14. Changes to these Terms
These Terms can be updated when the service, the law, security, or the way the site is operated makes that reasonably necessary. The current version is this page. A change does not take away mandatory rights you already have.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), where that exclusion is permitted.
If you are a consumer and you live in another country, mandatory consumer-protection rules of that country that cannot be waived still apply.
Statutory rules on jurisdiction apply. If you are a merchant, a public-law legal entity, or a public-law special fund, and where the law allows it, the courts at the provider’s place of business have jurisdiction. Mandatory venues for consumers remain unaffected.
16. Other terms
If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect to the extent the law allows. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule, not by a term that unlawfully disadvantages you.
Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy policy, are the agreement for using TabOnly. Where a mandatory rule of law ranks above these Terms, that rule applies.
17. Questions and claims
Questions, complaints, or claims about these Terms go to the contact in section 2.
